On the second episode of this Learning Monday series, we welcome Vijaya Chakravarty – a Landscape designer , organic farmer & educator. She combines practice with teaching & research while working in the fields of Ethnobotany, skill development and horticulture therapy. She has actively designed & developed natural play spaces for children, Restorative spaces for the seniors, healing gardens for the challenged, learning gardens, pollinator garden, Ecorestoration and ecological landscapes etc. She puts utmost emphasis on ‘Garden based Learning’ as she works towards moving away from sterile landscapes to those integrating biodiversity, various life forms, culture, tradition, ancient wisdom, therapy and capacity building.
